Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Data Scientist to join our Deaf-in-Tech project team. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about leveraging data to drive meaningful impact and is keen on contributing to empowering the Deaf community. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting complex datasets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to support our initiatives.

He will also be responsible for facilitating Data Science sessions and developing training materials tailored to meet the specific needs of the Deaf community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials and facilitate Data Science training for Deaf participants.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms to solve real-world problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Mentor aspiring data scientists/data analysts within the Deaf community.
  • Design and implement data collection and analysis processes to improve data quality and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies to support the Deaf-in-Tech mission.

Qualifications:

  • Strong preference for a Deaf individual with experience in data science.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly.
  • Passion for the Deaf-in-Tech mission and commitment to fostering an inclusive tech environment.
  • Should not be more than 28 years old.
