Our expertise spans multiple sectors including Conflict and Peace Building, WASH, FSL, Education, Child Protection, Agriculture, Health, Economics, and Nutrition. Data-Lead Africa is seeking to hire experienced and dedicated Field Research Supervisors to lead and supervise data collection for a Violence and Conflict Assessment (VCA) study in 18 targeted states in Nigeria. This study aims to improve USAID/Nigeria’s understanding of conflict dynamics across the country to support evidence-based decision-making and enhance the quality of programming. The Field Research Supervisor must be resident in the state of data collection and have functional knowledge of the cultural context in the target state.

Locations:
18 States (Benue, Plateau, Kwara, Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Kano, Sokoto, Kaduna, Ebonyi, Anambra, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Cross River, Ekiti, Osun, Lagos) and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Job Summary:
We are recruiting Field Research Supervisors to lead the data collection efforts for the Violence and Conflict Assessment (VCA) project. The role involves conducting step down training for the field enumerators at the state level, overseeing the data collection at the state, ensuring data quality, and maintaining effective communication with the project management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate data collection activities in the assigned state.
- Conduct training sessions for field enumerators.
- Ensure adherence to data collection protocols and ethical standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of field enumerators.
- Manage daily reporting and tracking of data collection progress.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on collected data.
- Liaise with community stakeholders to facilitate data collection.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in field data collection and supervision.
- Proficiency in using Survey CTO for data collection.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in the local language of the state is an added advantage
